State Theatre in Košice

Breathtaking Neo Baroque building of the State Theatre in Košice originating from the 19th century is definitely one of the most beautiful sights of the Old Town of Kosice. Project of the building was designed by a prominent Hungarian architect Adolf Láng. The building is characterized by abundant sculptural and ornamental decoration, in both exterior and interior. Historical attraction of the State Theatre in Kosice is that the Bratislava Slovak National Theatre began its activities here.
