Underground Archaeological Museum Lower Gate Košice

Thanks to the reconstruction of archaeological research of the Main Street in Košice were in the 90s of the 20th century uncovered underground areas of the former Lower gate that was part of the medieval city fortifications. In these sites the city has established a unique underground archaeological museum. The visitor discovers a mysterious underground spaces towers, ramparts, bastions and fortifications, and other structures from ancient times.
