Historic Town Hall in Košice

Beautiful Baroque-Classicist building of old Town Hall of Košice decorates the historical city center from the late 18th century. In this building the famous Russian general M.I. Kutuzov found refuge at the turn of 1805 and 1806. He was returning to the motherland after the crushing defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte at the Battle of Austerlitz. Event is commemorated by a memorial plaque fitted at the front gate. The Old Town Hall is now the seat of the Visitor´s Center of Košice, in addition, it is also used for various entertainment purposes.
