Synagogue in Prešov

Alluring Neo-Romanesque-Moorish facades of the Orthodox synagogue in Prešov hide literary treasure of Slovak synagogal architecture. Richly decorated interiors with fully maintained inventory belong to the most attractive Jewish monuments in Slovakia. The Prešovská synagogue is still used as a prayer. Besides it, the synagogue also serves as a museum because there is so called Bárkány collection of Judaica – the exhibition of the Museum of Jewish Culture.
