Town Hall in Banská Štiavnica

When looking at a historical building of the town hall in Banská Štiavnica tourists may be confused as the clock on the tower gives completely different time. It is because hour hands are set in the way that a big hand indicates hours and small hand indicates minutes. According to the legend this untraditional resolution was agreed by councillors who noticed that an hour takes longer than a minute and that’s why the longer hour hand should logically indicate hours.
