Botanical Garden in Banská Štiavnica

Botanical Garden in Banská Štiavnica was planted in the mid of the 19th century under the expert supervision of the local Mining and Forestry Academy. More than 200 domestic and exotic ornamental trees and shrubs are there, from which the extremely popular are Lebanon cedar tree or Mammoth sequoia, the giant among trees that cannot miss in a photo album of any visitor. In addition to ornamental trees and shrubs, there are also historical buildings of already mentioned the Mining and Forestry Academy. Botanical Garden is open to the public at certain hours throughout the year.
