On the side of the building there is a memorial plaque - Release of the privileges "pro Slavis" - a significant historical document that for the first time in history mentions Slovaks (Slovak of Žilina) as a separate ethnic group in a dispute with another nationality, namely the Germans. Privilege was issued by king Ludwig I. in 1381. A modern element on Town Hall is a carillon installed in the 90s of the 20th century.
