Statue of St. Cyril and Methodius in Žilina

On the central area of the balustrades confining the southwest side of Andrej Hlinka Square in Žilina stands the statue of St. Cyril and Methodius by local sculptor Ladislav Berák. Sculpture is relatively new - its official unveiling took place in 2000 - but standing on the place of honour in front of the parish church, Burian tower, and theater it quickly became an indispensable part of most popular panoramic view of Žilina.
