Townhouse with Latin Inscription in Žilina

Townhouse on 4 Hodžova Street in Žilina is a monumental building whose history is stretching far into the Middle Ages. Street on which the house stands was once one of the most important in the city, so it can be assumed that its owners were leading patricians of Žilina. The building now interests particularly by Renaissance arcades (arches) and the original Latin inscription: NON NOBIS DOMINE AST TIBI SIT GLORIA ET VICTORIA (Not to us, Lord, but You shall the glory and victory belong). It makes the house one of the most famous historical monuments of Žilina.
