Hrušov Castle

Near the town of Topoľčianky, in Tríbeč Mountains, lie the remains of Hrušov Castle. Towering on a solitary mass of rock surrounded by woods and meadows, it is quite a spectacular sight to behold. The view from the top of the castle is no less exciting with rolling meadows and lush forests as far as the eye can see. Hrušov Castle is said to have a great treasure hidden away in its underground dungeon. However, stealing it is a very bad idea, because it is guarded by three fierce mythical creatures: a giant crayfish, a giant rooster and a giant snake. Whoever wakes them up pays the ultimate price. Hikers visiting the castle can extend their trip and visit Topoľčianky. This town is famous for its unique manor house with a museum, for its chateau and for the Slovak National Stud Farm, which make it one of the most popular trip destinations in Slovakia.
