Slovak Agricultural Museum in Nitra

Slovak Agricultural Museum in Nitra is unique in this region. Expositions devoted to the oldest history of agriculture and traditional crafts, agricultural machinery and aviation will captivate not only “mechanical people”. In the large area of the museum there is an open-air museum of folk architecture, which documents the agricultural history of Slovakia. Visitors may find here furnished Early-Medieval farmstead of that time, herdsman’s hut, stone mill, barns and apiaries and many other things. A rare unique thing of the museum is a field railway where three steam locomotives operate during special occasions or when the visitors order it.
